WTF ? is A VAPOR BILL

WTF ? is  A VAPOR BILL?
"The Other McCain" wrote about grandma "The Angry Mob" well grandma "aka " Nana is not the angry mob any longer. She has now joined the ranks of the really pissed off!!!
Is this why these buffons were elected? Who ever heard of voting for a bill that hasn't been written and doesn't have the actual legal language, which is to be determined later. They are going to actually vote on a blank sheet of paper and be given a general outline?  Are they so contemptable of the voters to be believe we will roll over and let them get away with shirking their fuduciary responsibilites to the American People? They have systematically shredded the Constitution unbeknown to most of America, we only had the MSM to depend on for news, no more we now have a New Media, talk radio and Fox News. Each Congressman and Senator that cast their vote in favor of  this *#^# farce needs to be charged with malfeasance of office and treason, removed from office and incarcerated for the reminder of their life. I don't really blame them for kicking and screaming,at the GOP for asking them to post it on the internet so it could be read. The Dems already look dumber than a box rocks how much dumber do you think they want to look? be aka "grandma"
Vapor Bill Outrage in the Imperial Senate

How sustainable a political position does this sound like: You can’t see the Senate ObamaCare legislative language and we will not tell you how much it costs.
Here is how the San Francisco Examiner put it in their editorial:
When then-Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama promised not to sign major legislation until it had been posted on the Internet for public reading at least five days, trusting voters took him at his word. Now they know better. Not only is the actual language of what is likely to become the main legislative vehicle for Obama’s signature health care reform not available on the Internet, it hasn’t been given to members of the key Senate committees or the Congressional Budget Office. Welcome to the Imperial Senate whose leaders view the public with contempt and the elitist attitude that you should not see the legislative language because you cannot understand it. You should not know how Medicare is being cut, or how you are going to taxed, or how the bill change every health plan in the nation. We know, and we don’t want you to know — is the Democrats position in the Senate. They are shredding that trust, they are stomping it into the ground and burning it in public. What are the Democrats hiding in that legislative language? What is in it they do not want the public to see? If the health care debate has taught the American public anything, then its the devil is in the details. But the Senate Democratic leadership says: you don’t get to see the details. We, instead have this new thing called the Vapor Bill: don’t read it (we won’t let you) just support it. Perhaps this is why political analyst Charlie Cook recently said about the Independent voters: “they hate Congress something awful.” If you don’t believe Charlie Cook, then maybe you will believe this nine-month tracking chart by Gallup. In order to make the deals they need to make, no one can see the legislative language or the wheels will come off. How can you make a contradictory promise about taxes, the public option, illegal immigrants getting health care, Medicare care cuts and abortion, and expect the legislative language to contain those contradictions? So, in order to keep the wheels on, the legislative language will not be released until after the Senate has already begun consideration of the bill. The Congressional Budget Office cannot accurately score ObamaCare without legislative language (duh). Frank Luntz recently said in his in depth interviews with a cross-section of all types of Americans, more than 7 out of 10 said they are “mad as hell and are not going to take it anymore.” Count me among them. The arrogance and outright imperialistic nature of the Senate insisting that they can bring a bill without legislative language to the Senate floor — a bill without legislative language is a Vapor Bill — without showing it to the American people, Senators or anyone else is essentially a complete violation of the scared trust between the elected class and the American voter. The Vapor Bill strategy that Brian Darling of the Heritage Foundation has been warning about for a week was just confirmed by a senior aide to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Reid: he will use a shell bill and bring it up for consideration — a blank. Here is Darling’s new assessment, posted moments ago, titled Congress’ Secret Plan to Pass ObamaCare. The Senate Majority Leader is politically a dead man walking — he has a 36% approval rating in his own state and is up for re-election in 2010 — can you say Out of Touch? He must know that his Vapor Bill strategy is like pouring gasoline on a blazing fire. His position is clear: the only way Democrats can survive the blaze is to proceed to the Vapor Bill on the Senate floor. In the meantime Majority Leader Reid will not release any legislative language and will not have an accurate CBO score. The Democrats are evolving the Vapor Bill into a way to include the public option in the bill, without a filibuster. Here is a message for the Democrats: If you think you can get away with the Vapor Bill Imperial Senate routine, think again. What you are really doing is taking a 12 gauge shotgun and blowing off your own knee. (Pssst, you are knee-capping yourself). And until the Dems release the actual legislative language prior to it being considered on the Senate floor, and that has been scored by CBO — the American public will focus their anger on the Dems in the Senate because of their contempt for the public, their arrogance and their Imperialistic attitude. http://www.redstate.com/
After you read the two articles below decide who to belive. I had a friend in Texas who walked in on her husband in the act committing a Letterman infraction with her yelling and calling him every name in the book, he got up and his priceless response was "Who are you going to believe me or your eyes?"  I think this vapor bill qualifies for that response. be "AKA" grandma

Weiner: Congress won't take Baucus bill seriously

Despite the positive CBO review of the Senate Finance Committee healthcare bill, a liberal congressman said on Thursday that lawmakers will not take the bill "seriously" because it does not have a public option."There's no public option, since there's no real cost containment in the Baucus bill,"
Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) told MSNBC. "So frankly that big problem goes un-addressed which is why the bill probably won't be taken very seriously from here on out." Weiner is a strong proponent of a public health insurance option, arguing that it will bring down the costs for individuals who already have healthcare. The congressman has also promoted single-payer universal health insurance.
The CBO score, issued yesterday, stated that the plan would insure 29 million Americans and cost $829 billion while reducing the federal budget deficit by $81 billion over 10 years.
The score boosted the chances that the Baucus plan will pass the Finance panel and later be brought to the Senate floor for debate.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) praised the bill as progress yesterday while Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) chose not to address the score directly, saying that the real bill would be written by Democrats behind closed doors.
Due to Republican opposition, Weiner predicted that Democrats "are going to have to pass this bill without a single Republican vote." http://www.thehill.com/
Finance committee vote on Baucus healthcare bill set for Tuesday
The Senate Finance Committee will vote Tuesday morning on an $829 billion healthcare reform bill, giving chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) extra time to shore up wavering votes.
Senator Harry Reid (D Nv) announced the schedule during a floor speech Thursday in which he praised Baucus’s bill for reducing the budget by $81 billion over 10 years.
“Yesterday, the nonpartisan congressional budget office confirmed that the Finance Committee [bill], which is one of five plans before Congress to restore the way that health insurance companies treat people in this country, will reduce the deficit,” Reid said. “It said in black and white that the Finance Committee bill will reduce our deficit, not just in the short term, but over the long term.”
The legislation would also reduce the nation’s uninsured population by 29 million people.
Democrats view the score released Wednesday afternoon by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) as a major boost to Baucus’s bill. The non-partisan analysis confirms that the package will fulfill President Barack Obama’s long-stated goal of reducing federal healthcare spending.
Baucus said Wednesday that he would schedule a committee vote on the legislation after reviewing the CBO analysis and consulting with fellow committee members.
Baucus will use the next few days to secure the votes of several colleagues on Finance who have voiced concerns about the bill. At the top of that list are Democratic Sens. Jay Rockefeller (W.Va.) and Ron Wyden (Ore.) and Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe (Maine).
Snowe told reporters this week that she wanted to have sufficient time to review the CBO report before voting.
Baucus must also pay attention to Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D) who represents a conservative state that turned in a strong vote against Obama during the 2008 presidential election. Lincoln faces a challenging re-election next year, when her vote on healthcare is expected to become a major campaign issue. http://www.thehill.com/
