Cyber Security

Rick Perry believes cyber attacks are an emerging threat, and as president, he will view them as seriously as a physical attack. Cyber attacks could target our military, important utilities, and the countless computer systems upon which our economy depends.
The Obama administration has failed to implement a coherent approach to cyber security, and the existing and pending defense cuts threaten any future capability.
Rick Perry believes we must have both defensive and offensive coordinated cyber security capabilities, so the Chinese, as well as others, know there will be repercussions if they continue this aggression. Rick Perry will secure all of our borders - including our cyber borders.
China
China has emerged as a strong competitor to the United States in the 21st century, both economically and militarily. Gov. Perry does not accept communist China's rise as inevitable. Ronald Reagan said the Soviet Union would end up on the ash heap of history. The same will happen to totalitarian communism in China if they do not become a country of virtue, and continue to brutally repress and forcibly abort their citizens.  
This administration has failed to confront China on human rights, and let conditions in our country deteriorate to the point when the president of Coca-Cola says it is easier to do business in China than in the United States of America.
Rick Perry's first order of business is to get our economic house in order and reduce our debt so that we can properly negotiate with China from a position of strength. Rick Perry would also immediately end U.S. foreign aid to China. A good China policy means a good Asia policy: Rick Perry will engage China with strong alliances, economic leadership, and a robust military presence in Asia.

Iran and Syria

Iran

Rick Perry has repeatedly stated our single greatest threat is Iran.  Iran's leadership has threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, has imprisoned our citizens and carried out terrorist attacks, and as the IAEA recently reported, aggressively continues to seek nuclear weapons.  We also know their disruptive actions are not confined to the Middle East, but extend to our own hemisphere.
Rick Perry will bring every diplomatic and economic effort to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.  As president, Rick Perry will leave every option on the table, including the harshest sanction on the Iranian Central Bank and military options.The United States must never tie our own hands behind our back.
The Obama administration's policy of engagement has been an abject failure, beginning with its lack of support for the Green Revolution in 2009. Round after round of half-hearted sanctions have done little to deter Iran's nuclear development and aggressive behavior.

Syria

The Obama administration's lack of response to Bashar Assad's brutal crackdown on Syria is pathetic. As the Syrian people cry out for U.S. support, and even the Arab League has put pressure on Assad, this administration has been unable to even push sanctions through the U.N. Security Council.
While every effort should be made to work with our regional allies to stop these atrocities, Rick Perry believes the United States cannot afford to stand idly by while a despot brutalizes innocent people, partners with Iran, and continues to support terrorists around the world. As president, Rick Perry would keep all options on the table, including instituting a no-fly zone over Syria.
As president, Rick Perry will support tougher sanctions against the Syrian government and demonstrate strong, sustained public support for the Syrian people, not Assad. The best option for the United States is that the Syrian people take it upon themselves to change their regime.

Foreign Aid

As president, Rick Perry will fix foreign aid by starting all our commitments at zero, and basing future aid on U.S. national security interests and sound fiscal principles.
Rick Perry will require that we spend foreign aid dollars only on those programs that achieve results in our interests, and use aid to promote our core principles of self-governance and self-reliance on the part of men and women around the globe. Foreign aid must be tied to good governance, with a goal of recipient nations that become trading partners, allies, and even donor nations themselves.
U.S. support to the State of Israel is an example of foreign aid in our national interests. Israel is a model for democracy and prosperity in the region, and has moved from being a recipient of economic aid to being exclusively a recipient of military aid. Given the ongoing aggression towards Israel from hostile, terror-supporting regimes such as Iran and Syria, countries that are also enemies of the United States, our foreign aid to Israel is a wise and necessary investment.
The same could not be said for all of our U.S. foreign aid recipients. There have been too many bad programs through which we have provided assistance to hostile governments-and ones that do not need our help. Rick Perry will extend this same principle to funding the United Nations and other international organizations, where every dollar spent must serve U.S. interests abroad.
Rick Perry believes that American interests must be the driving rationale for foreign aid decisions, not the entitlement spending mindset infecting Washington, D.C. As president, Rick Perry will require that we spend foreign aid dollars only on those programs that achieve results in our interests, starting our foreign aid at zero, and not reexamining each and every investment overseas on its merits.

Gov. Perry: TSA Should be Transitioned to Public-Private Partnership

Transportation Security Administration: 

The Transportation Security Administration should be transitioned to a public-private partnership.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is a costly and bureaucratic mess that has done more to demean travelers than secure our nation's transportation corridors. The current government policy of accosting grandmothers and toddlers has done nothing to reduce the threat of terrorism or make America safer.
There is an existing model for effective public-private oversight of airport and transportation security that has been deployed for years in more than a dozen U.S. airports, including San Francisco and Kansas City, Missouri, but the TSA administrator in January of 2011 explicitly prohibited additional airports from utilizing the optional public-private model.
The Screening Partnership Program (SPP) allows airports to hire qualified private screening companies that are overseen by federal authorities. In San Francisco, where the program has been extensively used, the private screeners were far more efficient than federal screeners. According to a lengthy congressional report on SPP, if federal screeners were as efficient as their private counterparts, salary savings at the nation's top 35 airports alone would total at least $1 billion each year.
The current government-only model of transportation security should be phased out and replaced with a public-private partnership model along the lines of the successful Screening Partnership Program.

"Ultimately, responsibility for this failure lays at President Obama's feet. The whole reason a supercommittee was created was because the President wasn't willing to lead, wasn't willing to even put on paper his plans for cutting spending. It's amazing to what lengths he will go to avoid making tough decisions.  And who pays the price for Washington's failure? The American people and our military personnel, who will now be subjected to a half trillion dollars in national defense cuts?

"The supercommittee's failure is the perfect illustration of how Washington is broken and needs to be seriously overhauled. As President, I will demand a complete overhaul of Washington, D.C. starting with a Balanced Budget Amendment, a part-time citizen Congress, and major tax and spending cuts to jump-start our economy and create good American jobs.  We can fix the system with my flat tax and serious reforms cutting taxes to a flat 20 percent, ending earmarks and corporate tax loopholes, and balancing the federal budget by 2020."

Following their own guidelines will not get you anywhere because they make there rule up as they go along.

The latest case of TSA tyranny to hit the headlines comes in the form of a young mother who was subjected to enhanced groping and then shut inside a screening box for almost an hour by agents after she refused to allow them to put her breast milk through an x-ray device, a legitimate request that is even written into the TSA’s own guidelines.

Ms Armato writes:
About 10 minutes into all this, a Phoenix PD comes to calm me down. I explain to him that there is no reason I should be treated this way and I have every right to be upset.He then says “they” (aka TSA) saw me coming, have it out for me (from my complaint against TSA the week before when they didn’t know the breast milk rules then either), and I should travel out of a different gate in future weeks.He said TSA wants me to play along with their horse and pony show and if I don’t then TSA can have the Phoenix PD arrest me! Well, I wanted to get home to my baby and my flight was 30 minutes from departure so I ‘played along.’ Three Phoenix PD watched in the background…I could tell they all knew this was a waste of their time but I was happy to have them standing by in case TSA continued to act out of line.Eventually Ms Armato was released from the box, and subjected to a full groping from another TSA agent.A TSA manager then approached her and told her that the milk had to go through the x-ray scanner because the containers it was in were “too full” and it was “not a clear liquid”. These are both made up rules that are not mentioned anywhere in TSA guidelines, proving that even the TSA manager had no regard for the official laws in this instance.The guidelines allow “Mothers flying with, and now without, their child be permitted to bring breast milk in quantities greater than three ounces as long as it is declared for inspection at the security checkpoint.”According to TSA rules breast milk is to be treated as a medical liquid, which should not be subjected to x-ray radiation.
Ms Armato writes:He read the first form which stated that medical liquids can have alternate screening (no x-ray). He was quick to say “well this isn’t a medical liquid!” So I had him read the second form which says breast milk is to be treated like a medical liquid. He then says, “well, not today.” I started balling all over again once he said that.Again this is clear evidence of a TSA supervisor acting like a supreme authority and simply making up the rules as he goes along.Ms Armato was then forced to pour out the milk into 8 different containers, only half filling each, as per the TSA’s new completely made up rule.Because of all this, she missed her flight home to feed her hungry baby in Los Angeles.
According to Ms Armato, the TSA edited out almost 30 minutes of footage, including a section where a TSA manager demanded and took down her personal information, took pictures of her breast milk and shouted at her for not watching closely as the agents tested it for explosive residue. Ms Armato has vowed to fight the TSA on the issue.“Southwest put me on the next flight home and, as luck would have it, I was standing in line right behind my Constitutional Law professor from my law school days. At that point I knew I needed to stand up for my rights and help myself and other mothers against the uninformed, retaliatory, and harassing TSA employees that help ‘keep us safe.’” she writes. Last week we detailed reports of a woman being forced to remove her sanitary towel following TSA screening. These are the type of dangerous terrorists America must now be protected from.

Carville on Airport Security: 'Go Measure My Penis and Let Me Get on The Airplane' Does anyone care besides Mary Matlin? Democratic Strategist James Carville husband of Mary Matlin comments full body scan by TSA. I ask you does anyone care about the size of his penis? If TSA spends tax dollars to measure penis's I think they should set up a web site and publish the results. Call it "Reality Penis Check." or some such name, maybe we could start a naming contest.

During an appearance on a DC radio show on Friday, the colorful CNN political strategist said that he would be willing to allow the TSA to measure his penis before a flight, so that the exact measurements could go on record. This way, the need for a full body scan of Carville every time he travels by air could be dispensed with.Carville explained the reasoning behind his novel plan, during his appearance on the DC Tony Kornheiser radio program:“What I want is, let me pay for something, give me a safe flyer card, and then y’know, go measure my penis and let me get on the airplane.”In light of all of the shameful, partisan and mind-numbingly dumb national discourse and attacks on Obama , since the attempted bombing of a plane bound for Detroit on Christmas-day, at least Carville’s comment is amusing.

DICKING AROUND "New TSA Rules"

While every media outlet is talking about the terrorist who hid explosives in his underwear, not one has said if he damaged his thingamajig. Did he blow it off? Will he sue the airlines for his thing not functioning properly? Give us some gory details. In the meantime Homeland Security has established new airline travel guidelines. After how many days Obama has finally acknowledged that TSA and their screening problems.
Meanwhile back at the Whore House Americans are going to be screwed over again by the Obama Administration by not following normal procedures.

Dems agree that House will take up, tweak Senate healthcare bill.
House and Senate leaders have formally agreed to bypass a bicameral conference committee to merge two healthcare bills, and have opted to instead “ping-pong” the Senate bill over to the House and back again, according to House leadership aides.Aides said the agreement was reached during a Tuesday evening meeting at the White House with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and the top two Democrats from each chamber.The Senate bill will serve as the vehicle by which Democrats hope to send a healthcare bill to Obama to sign into law. Under the “ping-pong” strategy, the House will take up the Senate bill and amend it, then send it back to the Senate for final approval.The decision was made to scrap a conference committee out of concern that Republicans in both the House and the Senate would employ a series of procedural delaying tactics, only serving to delay the inevitable and frustrate the majority, aides said.
