Tonight at sundown begins the Jewish New Year, Rosh
HaShanah.
Rosh HaShanah signifies the beginning of the Jewish New Year, as well
as the beginning of the creation of the world. In addition, Rosh HaShanah begins
the 10 days of repentance, leading up to Yom Kippur, the day of
atonement.
In this time of the High Holidays, we ask that G-d bestow
blessings upon the land of Israel and create peace among Israel and all her
neighbors, as well as to inscribe us in the book of Life.
May you be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life, and
have a prosperous and joyful New Year.
Shanah tovah u'metukah
