is seeking $10 million in damages from the city of Phoenix,
alleging the city bungled his arrest and investigation stemming from a freeway
fight with his ex-girlfriend 16 months ago.
Bundgaard notice of claim
"My political career is over, ruined," he said. (Scott
Bungaard quoted in The
Arizona Republic)

Scott Bungaard, supposedly a conservative values Republican in the
Arizona Legislature was shammed from office this past year over a domestic
violence incident with his girl friend.
Now he wants Phoenix taxpayers to pay him because his "political
career" over.
How's that for a conservative Republican value - "political
career" - like the public owes this guy a job?
Now he joins the ranks of Mary Rose Wilcox in wanting lots of the
public's cash for so-called damage to a political career.
We need less career politicians and more people who serve because it is a
calling for a period of time in their life of giving their time in pursuit of good
public policy.
Now Scott Bungaard wants legal welfare to recoup is alleged loss due to
his misbehavior.
In a party filled with name calling (RINO, DID, etc.), in a party who has
a newly formed GOP party legislative district invite a disbarred former county
attorney as its first monthly speaker after formation (LD15 June 2012 meeting),
we now have a shamed GOP legislator who wants money from the taxpayers claiming
the police framed him. The police framed him after countless witnesses who had
no ax to grind gave testimony.
I have a new term for many of us in the GOP - "RID."
Republicans In Denial. Perhaps we should all get together with a class action
lawsuit and find some government agency we can sue to collect millions and at
the same time enrich a trial attorney.
There is a great outcry over illegal immigration and the demands by some
that we deport 18 million illegal aliens. Some of the charge is that they don't
pay their fair share of the burden on public services they cause. Maybe so.
While we are bussing out those 18 million, let's give Scott Bungaard a bus
ticket out of town, also.
Scott, time to retrain and get a new career. Unlike the strained economy
that has put millions out of work, you did this to yourself and have no one to
blame but you. Get a job, Scott.
