It’s the biggest polo party ever thrown in Arizona, with a few twists. Like what?
The Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses & Horsepower will be a two match event featuring Harvard University vs. Work To Ride at 1pm and Bel Air vs. The Hamptons at 3pm. Work To Ride is the first African-American high school polo champion in U.S. history recently featured on 60 Minutes, ESPN & HBO. The two biggest names in American polo – Nik Roldan and Tommy Biddle, Jr. – will face off as the respective captains for Bel Air and Hamptons.
And while great polo will entertain so will all of the automotive “horsepower” on site too courtesy of the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, Scottsdale Ferrari, Maserati, Lotus & Fisker, the local Ferrari and Lamborghini Clubs and Phoenix International Raceway.
Throw in the pageantry of the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, “stomping of the divots” at half-time, style provided by Neiman Marcus and Phoenix Fashion Week and the energy of multiple DJs, great announcers and Scottsdale hotspots and you will understand why this is Arizona’s most compelling emerging event.
