We have arrived in West Des Moines, Iowa
Reporting on Rick Perry's Campaign...
Gay and I have checked into the Perry Campaign Iowa Headquarters. We have met all of the Campaign Staff. Rob Johnson, the Campaign Manager was there and we had a short chin wag and they are pleased with the crowds that are showing up at the bus tour stops. I must say Erick Erickson is full of it. They are organized and dedicated to Perry’s being the Republican nominee. We checked in and were given a folder explaining the Caucus and a Schedule for the volunteers. All of this was presented very professionally. We started on the phone bank within nano seconds this staff doesn’t want to let any grass grow under their feet. What I really want to convey is about the staff and the volunteers. The staff is a group of young enthusiastic Republicans that are smart, friendly and it does this senior heart good to know there is a generation of young people that have values.
I was impressed with the schedule which includes a time set aside before the day starts. Listed on the schedule as 9:15am-9:30am Prayer Time (Optional)
Then starts the business of the campaign. This gives you an insight to Perry’s and the campaign staff’s Christian faith. Perry’s faith isn’t for show it’s Perry.
The volunteers came from Arizona, several Texans, Florida, California, and South Carolina and of course Iowans. They have traveled at their own expense to volunteer for Perry because of his many achievements as the longest serving Governor of a state in recent times. Stay connected for updates. be ###
