Our trip we only had a couple of glitches with a GPS, Road Atlas and Google Maps we only had to turnaround 5 times. Not bad for a couple of seniors driving from Texas to Iowa. We stopped to take a photo of the biggest roller coaster we had seen in a small town and bam the new fancy Droid 3 phone went dark. We made it the rest of the way with only one cell phone. We stopped at rest area to take a wee break and there was a very clean guy standing at the door that was trying to get to Waterloo for a JOB OFFOR and had run out of gas money. “Before you scratch your head and wonder, we helped out a little with gas money”. I hope the Iowans realize how bad they need a President with Perry’s qualifications to jet Americans working again. Boy! Does it get darker than the ace of spades here quick it was dark by 4:30 PM. At 6 Pm we decided that we would be better off to stop for the night. We stopped in Nevada, Iowa I called in to my Hair on Fire radio show and we slept fast and took off early on Thursday morning.
