Was Hugh Hallman Vetted By Arizona Republic Before Endorsement For State Treasurer?

AZ Republic: Hallman's temperament and attention to detail make him the best choice for the job.
For an attorney his attention to detail sucks or he would know better than to use rumors and innuendos to make false advertising claims about opponents.
Apparently AZ Republic didn’t have much of a vetting process. Hallman has told big time lies about his two opponents.
Lies about DeWitLies about PullenHallman  making an issue of DeWit  loaning his campaign money also shows he’s a hypocrite, HALLMAN, HUGH Original Amount of Loan: $50,000.00 on 5-27-14 it's OK for me but, not thee.Hallman lied about being endorsed for Mayor of Tempe by Tempe Police and FirefightersIn Hallman tenure as mayor Tempe increased water rates 10 percent Increased sales taxCheck out salaries of city council and part-time mayor during Hallman’s reign.Tempe raises property taxes under Hallman…In 2011, the Tempe City Council adopted a property-tax policy unlike any other in the Valley
According to the Arizona Tax Research Association (ATRA), Tempe has one of the highest property taxes in all of Maricopa County and possibly Arizona.

In FY 2010-11, Hugh Hallman pushed for a new variable property tax rate system.  You told the citizens of Tempe it would be a "fair tax" and not to worry because Tempe only needed a fixed and level amount of property taxes every year so the property tax rate would be adjusted up or down.  The total property tax rate in FY 2010-11 was $1.40 and has increased every year.  The total property tax rate in FY 2013-14 is $2.4882 - a 77.73% increase over FY 2010-11 and third highest in the Valley according to ATRA.

Arizona Republic made a big mistake on endorsement of Hugh Hallman.
