APS is a regulated monopoly.
The company is now seeking to install its two favorite candidates as favored regulators on the Arizona Corporation Commission in the 2014 elections. After such remarkable generosity from their patrons, these candidates will certainly be challenged to look out for you rather than APS if elected.
That’s because APS and/or related entities are funneling dough into “dark money” organizations attacking anyone but their marionettes.
You may have seen the mailers recently outrageously linking those who would stand up to APS to President Obama. That’s quite a stretch considering the only person enthusiastically supporting a massive new tax on energy choice and solar is an APS backed candidate. Even though taxes on energy choice would mean very bad news for tens of thousands of seniors, schools, churches and residents.
And APS does all this while brazenly claiming to love solar and be good for Arizona with ubiquitous television ads to mask their true conduct, all with your money. But it’s not so secret anymore that the reason APS dislikes solar is because it saves you money, which means lower profits for them. Beware, if you start turning your lights off at home a little more often they may come after you too...
