Hugh Hallman AZ Candidate for State
Treasurer Bald Face Lies About Opponent’s

If Hugh
Hallman will blithely lie about his opponents, can you trust him to be the
steward of the state’s finances?
I’m
surprised that neither candidate has tracked down the rumors that Hugh has been
resume padding in regard to his legal practice or misconstruing his endorsements
from Police
and Firefighters.
He started
with Jeff DeWit who sent a cease and desist letter article Hugh
Hallman AZ Candidate For State Treasurer Ads Lie About Jeff DeWit-Jeff Fights
Back. WHEN YOUR MONEY
IS ON THE LINE, INTEGRITY MATTERS. Jeff has loaned his campaign over
$73,000.00.
Then he stepped
on his open pants zipper when he decided to dredge up unsubstantiated rumors
about Randy Pullen. Randy along with Jeff has come out swinging these boys aren’t
going to be playing nice from now on.
This normally low
profile State Treasurer’s race has just qualified for Mud Wrestling Mania.

Re: Libel; Defamation Per Se; Demand for Immediate Removal of Libelous and Slanderous Material
To Hugh Hallman:
This firm represents Randy Pullen and demands that you immediately cease publication of your malicious and defamatory claim that “[Randy] Pullen left the State GOP $100,000 in debt.” Randy Pullen did not leave the State GOP in debt, much less “$100,000 in debt.” The attached FEC report, which is readily available online, shows that the Party had $86,325.80 in cash on hand and was only $17,689.81 in debt when Randy Pullen left the office of Chairman of the State GOP in January 2011. In other words, the Party had an excess of $68,635.99 in cash. Your claim, which you have now prominently and deliberately featured on radio, television, and the Internet, that “[Randy] Pullen left the State GOP $100,000 in debt” is maliciously and recklessly false. Mr. Pullen hereby demands that you cease publication of this statement immediately and redact it from your radio, television and Internet advertisements. Failure to do so within 24 hours of this letter will result in an action for defamation per se, libel per se, and injunctive relief being filed in Maricopa County Superior Court.
Sincerely,
Jack D. Wilenchik
