CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Democratic Party released its platform on Monday night, laying out positions on issues ranging from health care to lobbying reform and ending the war in Afghanistan.
The party's most of the positions outlined in the document are aligned with longstanding Democratic views. The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party, The Democratic Party has adopted out platform.- Norman Thomas, for many years the U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1944
The platform's preamble acknowledges that there's still much more work to be done. "Four years ago, Democrats, independents, and many Republicans came together as Americans to move our country forward. We were in the midst of the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression, the previous administration had put two wars on our nation’s credit card, and the American Dream had slipped out of reach for too many," it reads.
"We must keep moving forward and doing the hard work of rebuilding a strong economy by betting on the American worker and investing in a growing middle class," the preamble concludes, by reelecting Obama.
It fails to point out the Obama's administration that the debt is now hovering close to $17 TRILLION DOLLARS, and the transparency Obama promised is conducted behind closed doors.
I fails to point out Obama's crimes against America. be ###
