According to a conversation I had in person with Brett Mecum (Former Arizona GOP Executive Director) on April 19, 2012 he has not been paid by the AZ GOP since he was dismissed in 2011...The Arizona GOP can disprove this statement by publishing a copy of the cancelled checks that shows who signed said checks and to whose bank account they were deposited. He also shared that Phil Mason (Arizona GOP Director Of Operations) called one of his clients and told him if he didn't fire Brett the Arizona GOP would not help the candidate with his campaign.
