The Ooops wasn’t that big of deal in the overall debate. Has this has ever happened to you? Boy it has me.. Perry did what we all would do, he admitted the word went right out of his head and when he thought of he said so. My Opinion it takes a stand up person to admit in front of millions of people "I'm glad I've got my boots on, I sure stepped in it..It also let's the media know that he has a top professional team that immediately took control of the situation when they saw he was going to get hammered by the left and right for the Ooops.. Perry's position on the issues is what is the most important to create an environment that will put Americans back to collecting a "paycheck' not a welfare check.See opinions of other's below Perry's appearances.

1.Phil says:
Issues, not insults and innuendo, should separate the
politicians. Remember the fighting cry, “Are you better off today, than you
were four years ago?”; that should be our war cry in the upcoming election. I
know for a fact that I am not and I will wager that most of you are not either!
Select our candidates, then elect OUR candidates.
2. Anne says:
Perry said, and admitted right off the bat that “debate” was not
his strong point, and he didn’t like “debates” at all.
Perhaps you should pay attention to the SUBSTANCE of what Perry
said, opposed to a misstep.
Perhaps you should pay MORE attention to what Perry has actually
accomplished, and the FACT that Texas has a good and growing economy in spite
of the fact that the rest of the country is going to hell in a hand-basket.
What limited people who are too easily taken in my a glib and
slick performance?
One would certainly hope not, since that’s what too many very
limited people were taken in by, and that got us Obozo, and WHY we’re going to
hell in a hand-basket.
And who says being a glib-slick talker is a qualification for
being a good leader?
There is absolutely NO CORRELATION between being a slick talker
and being a good leader.
3. CHRISTOPHER says:
That is
also my philosophy but it was just a totally unnecessary remark. I was an
ardent Perry fan but that blunder just took the wind out of the Perry sail for
me. I am a Texan by strong heritage, have an ancestor who died at the Alamo, we
survived that defeat and resurrected our Great Republic at the Battle of San
Jacinto. Perry needs a San Jacinto epiphany, like now!!!!!!!!
4. Merry says:
Our sales receipts for the month remain at 15%, we are still
creating more jobs than the other 49 states, tort reform, loser pay, no income
tax , our unemployment is higher because we are adding 1,200 more job seekers
from other states and they are finding employment, we have the smallest
government of the other states and our legislature meets only every other year.
Oh, and I forgot- doctors from other states are moving here to practice because
of the changes that this “dumb” man has put into play. Businesses are moving
here because of the business environment and he has taken Obama on three times
on immigration ,fires, floods because of O’s stand on Texas.
5. Mike Horner says:
I sent in a contribution to Rick Perry the morning after the
Debate. Rick is the real deal. A genuine Conservative who has the track record
to prove it. He has only run the most successful State in the Union for the
last 10 years. I was at the RedState gathering in Charleston when Perry
announced his bid to become President. I immediately got a sense of the man. A
raw-boned Texan who grew up the hard way and became an Air Force pilot and a
successful governor of our second largest State. No one else on that stage has
served in the military. I will definitely continue to support Rick Perry.
6. Merry says:
I completely forgot to add that to speak,he does not use a
teleprompter because he is not a lawyer as the other glib speakers are except
for RP and Cain. We need another lawyer for president like O, Clinton, who did
such a stellar job of leadership and who hate the military, are clueless on
foreign policy, would rather run than defend because someone might “hurt them”.
Texans are like our flag-they do not run. GW,his first 8 months in office had
anthrax deaths,9-11, numerous natural disasters , the shut down of Wall
street, the post office, the airlines and he did try to indict any of those or
bring them to trial. He also did not run so if I have to choose someone to take
on a Marxist, I do not want a debater but someone who loves the country, states
rights, and is tough as nails in a clinch. We have much larger issues than
debate skills which appeal to media and other sophmoric mentalities. But then,
our country now is tough as we watch Survival on our tvs, complain about the
republican candidates and enjoy an unemployment rate of 17% among the age group
who posts here and have to live at home because of a Marxist administration.
Cool. I feel better already knowing that most of you will not vote. Have a good
day!
and other venues which have been paid for by those who were tough but not good debaters.

7. Glenny says:
Don’t know why this is a big deal. Drawing a “blank” can happen
to anybody.
8. NancyM says:
I’m not a Perry supporter, but I think this is a non-issue. Everyone
has a “brain freeze” at one time or another. I’m giving him a pass on this one.
9. Swamprat says:
Although I am not a strong Rick Perry fan I have to agree with
Glenny and Nancy M. A non-issue and I’m sick of hearing the liberal media gloat
about it!
