According to Rasmussen, Republicans are more trusted on issues that are vital to America's Economy and National Security. The poll shows that Democrats are more trusted on Social Security and Government Ethics. Government Ethics is conundrum, both parties have not shown the ethical behavior. Newt Gingrich who just received the New Hampshire Union Leader's endorsement was bought up on ethical violations when he was Speaker of the House, plead guilty and was fined $300,000.00 which Bob Dole paid for him.

Republicans continue to be trusted more than Democrats to handle the number one issue on voters' minds this election, the economy. On all 10 important issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports, voters now trust Republicans more on eight of these issues.
