Forty Percent of U.S.-Mexico Border WIDE OPEN
Did you know that FORTY PERCENT of the U.S.- Mexico border is public land that current environmental law dictates cannot be driven on even by U.S. Border Patrol?
Federal agents are joining forces with a group of Patriot lawmakers on Capitol Hill in their effort to repeal this ridiculous law that leaves all federally managed land within 100 miles of the border defenseless.

In recent weeks, three congressional panels, including two in the GOP-controlled House and one in the Democrat-controlled Senate, have moved to give the Border Patrol unfettered access to all federally managed lands but tree-hugging activists are fighting back.

The coyotes leading thousands of illegal immigrants across the U.S.-Mexico border know these worry-free illegal immigration superhighways and take refuge in them.

Environmental groups and their K Street lobbyists are trying to make the claim that lawmakers are just using illegal immigration as "the latest excuse to gut protections."

And we're here to tell them it's no excuse.

Why? Because tire tracks (like those from Border Patrol vehicles) collect water and, by preventing it from pooling naturally, cause water to evaporate too quickly and support less vegetation.

So, for the sake of saving a few cacti and desert shrubs, Congress passed this absolutely ridiculous law that leaves nearly half of our border WIDE OPEN to illegal immigrants and drug smugglers.

Right now, federal agents trying to patrol the border and defend America cannot do their jobs effectively because of Congress. What a surprise. Nearly 40 percent of the land on the U.S.-Mexico border and about a quarter of the land on the U.S.-Canadian border is public land where driving, including driving by Border Patrol, is prohibited by law.
Border agents must even get permission before maintaining existing roads AND installing surveillance equipment which can take months if permission is obtained at all.

Representative Rob Bishop of Utah authored the bill easing the restrictions for Border Patrol and it bas the House Natural Resources Committee along party lines. In the Senate, John McCain sponsored an amendment giving Border Patrol personnel immediate access to these illegal immigration superhighways which passed a Senate Committee with bipartisan support.

But now they need your support to shut down these immigration superhighways down and secure the border. They need you to contact your elected officials and hold their feet to the fire.

We need you to tell all of Washington to do their part to keep America green -- allow the Border Patrol to do its job: stop illegal immigration and the trash that comes across the border right along with it.

Folks, the environmentalist lobby is working for the illegal immigrants, not the American people. Those photos you saw of backpacks, clothing, water bottles trash and footprints heading north are IN the United States.

Furthermore, they are proof that not only is this ridiculous law a lack of common sense not protecting the environment -- it's destroying the environment.Caught up in their efforts to prevent the pooling of rainwater in tire tracks, we're guessing the tree-huggers conveniently forgot all about just how much illegal immigrants and smugglers value America and keeping her green.

Folks, the environmentalist lobby is working for the illegal immigrants, not the American people.
Those photos you see of backpacks, clothing, water bottles trash and footprints heading north are IN the United States. Furthermore, they are the proof that not only is this ridiculous law a lack of common sense not protecting the environment -- it's destroying the environment.

Even worse, despite the proof that their lapse in common sense backfired, they are still fighting to protect the law and what it boils down to: the ability of illegal immigrants and drug-traffickers to trash America after they just skip across the wide open, defenseless border into our neighborhoods.
