Military officials and state government destroyed more than 6,800 firearms exchanged for computers in a dozen municipalities in the completion of the first stage of the campaign "for a Chiapas without
arms."

The Speedway "Chiapas" in the neighboring municipality of Berriozábal, was the scene where two teams of bulldozers destroyed rifles and pistols of various calibers.

It was reported that the melt of these weapons will be built in, next time, a sculpture to be placed in the capital to symbolize her desire for peace and peaceful coexistence in the state.

In its report last week, the Attorney General of the State (PGJE) reported that during the day for "A Chiapas without arms" are also collected 30,522 cartridges of different calibers and 988 magazines, seven rifle grenades, 10 fragmentation grenades, as well as 15 mortar grenades, 35 sporting guns, 12 grenades and 14 gas grenades.

The campaign began in early October in Tuxtla Gutierrez and expanded to 15 this month in the municipalities of Villaflores, Tapachula, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Tonala, Comitan, Father of the Americas, Palenque, and Pichucalco Ocosingo.

The voluntary disarmament campaign reception modules were installed in public places, neighborhoods and districts.

The interagency group was headed by the PGJE, secretarial staff of National Defense, the Attorney General's Office, Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection and municipal councils.

In the act of destroying the weapons, Governor Juan Sabines Guerrero highlighted the contribution of government authorities, the Secretariat of National Defense and the families who participated in
the exchange.

He said that these actions will strengthen the social peace of the state.

"These sectors are committed to peace, civil society that gets rid of each of these instruments of violence, the weapons must be exclusively for the Armed Forces, because if civilians have guns, it
is a danger to the house, the family. "

"It is not used exclusively in criminal acts, is also used in family quarrels at home, a son, a child may accidentally take one of these things and hurting or killing yourself," he explained.

Sabines added: "Today we are taking more than 6,800 weapons from Chiapas civil society voluntarily exchanged in 10 municipalities."

The governor announced that "For a Chiapas without arms" extend from December to other municipalities warned that "those who did not give or donate them or donated that is not suprised that if one day a arms detector comes to their home.
Note: The one on "el rojo" one is good for a close up look at how it works here. Also note extensive details, except for the firearms. The black out of firearms details continues, we know they have the
information. Who ordered it suppressed, and why?
Note: This should stop those drug cartels, for sure."These sectors are committed to peace, civil society that gets rid of each of these instruments of violence, the weapons must be exclusively for the Armed Forces, because if civilians have guns, it is a danger to the house, the family. "
