After my friend read the story on Michigan he
sent me the story and this note. It is typical of what you are reading and
seeing from Americans across this once great nation. SW/WBAN has a business and his
frustration with the government and the refusal to balance the budget or make
any attempt to cut spending immediately. The constant Americans last foreign
countries first is wearing on not only SW/WBAN nerves, but most conservatives.

This just boils my blood and when I saw this it is so incredulous
that I can’t begin to express it. Of course I sent it to everyone and it needs
to be on the 8:00 Pm news. I’m sure you saw the article about the money being
spent “renovating” muslim (I refuse to even capitalize it anymore) mosques in
muslim countries with the insane “explanation” that they are trying to build
good will. Bullshit!!! What idiot made that decision…..
Sorry Babe, I’m a little wound up. I am so PO’d with our government
and their refusal to even consider a “balanced budget” or to even make an
attempt to “cut back” within their own “small business” staffing overhead,
travel overhead, things “they” can control---at least make the effort. They
vote their own salary increases, they have the best health insurance, they can
put their perverted “privates” on Face Book and still walk away with a million
bucks. (I’m not sure Weiner has even walked away yet—out of sight out of mind).
The “pork” continues to be put into every bill that comes across the table.
Here I am laying off people, unable to borrow money, having to
wait 75 to 90 days to be paid for three State and Federal jobs we are
sub-contractors on and required by law to pay “prevailing” wages for every
“State or Fed funded” project we bid on. Guess who got that passed—UNIONS who
can’t control “Right To Work” states. Our HVAC guys are paid $ 26-30 per hour. Prevailing wage for them on a Fed
project is $ 56.00 plus $ 13.00 in benefits that we are forced to pay to anyone
who “steps foot” on the project including our delivery driver. We have to
unload in the street and have our guys take materials onto the project. On our
$2M portion of one HUD project the difference to the taxpayers cost is over
$800,000.00 in the wage differential. Multiply that one over all of the Fed.
projects in the country. UNIONS!! And guess who shows up on the job sites
“checking” everyone’s time cards and asking our employee’s questions about
their “job classifications”—“Are you doing any assembly or fabrication on site
or just installing? You guessed it, one classification pays higher than the
other and they (the “inspectors) can file a complaint with the labor board if
that time is not noted on their time sheets and paid accordingly……….next thing
they [their inspectors] demand is an “audit” of your payroll—put the cost of
that on your overhead. It’s nuts! It goes on and on Barb…..it’s killing us—all
of us and that’s just a drop in the bucket.
I’m so frustrated.
