Bryan a Fire Chief for the City of Mesa was appointed to
fill a vacated
Council Seat, since that time here's what has been
accomplished:
Settled the dispute with the Sonoran Parkway, at no cost
to the city and to the great acceptance of the neighbors
Reduced the expenses of the District 2 office by 67%
Turned down all of the elected official perks to save
the
taxpayers money Aggressively gone after graffiti and
crime
in the district -cleaning up graffiti in less than 36
hours and stopping
the violence of the Palomino fight club. Assisted a major
faith
community in reaching compromise in its future church
plans.

Jim has been
a tireless advocate for responsible government in Arizona.
Jim earned a
reputation during his seven years at the state Senate as a
fighter of
wasteful government spending, a champion of job-creating
policies, and
a steadfast proponent of tough-on-crime public safety policies.
He earned
awards for this work from the Arizona Federation of Taxpayers
(Champion of
the Taxpayer), National Federation of Independent
Business
(Guardian
of Small Business), and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce
(Senator of
the Year). In addition, Jim was recognized for his work
fighting
domestic
violence by the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence
(Legislator
of the Year twice) and the Men's Anti Violence Network
(Man of the
Year). Jim was awarded the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame
Copper Shield
Award and the National Guard Association of the
United States
Medal of Merit. Jim was born in Hinsdale, Illinois, and
moved
to Arizona
nearly twenty years ago. He received his PhD in public
administration from Arizona State University’s School of Public
Affairs
and his
undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University.
Prior to
entering politics, Jim served on the staffs at ASU, the
Arizona Board
of Regents and Northern Arizona University.
He currently
holds a position at the Office of Arizona Attorney General
