Report One:Army deploys elements in the mountainous area and the outskirts of
Juarez

The commander of the Military Zone V, Felipe de Jesus Hernandez
Espitia reported that already have military elements distributed on
the outskirts of Juarez, Chihuahua, and the mountainous area, then
that would be known what happened in the town of Las Agujas.
Without giving more information, when asked about what happened in
Las Agujas, where an armed group took over the town and took out the
inhabitants from their homes to commit their crimes, Espitia
Hernandez reiterated that he now has people in the area.
"We have people committing crimes there, they are cases that have
spoken and have spoken before. We have staff distributed in Madera
and all that, "he said simply.With regard to developments within the Coordinated Operation Chihuahua, declined to comment; only indicated that the Federal
Police which took command and directed to publicize the progress and results.

Police chief in Rocky Point shot, hospitalizedThe Puerto Peñasco police chief and his bodyguard are recovering  after they were shot Saturday night. Erick Francisco Landagaray, and his bodyguard Luis Huerta Ibarra, were attacked around 11 p.m. while patrolling the seaside city, also
known as Rocky Point.Juan Antonio Villa, spokesman with the Sonoran city said Landagaray was shot six times and Huerta Ibarra once. Other details about the
attack haven’t been released because the investigation is ongoing. Authorities wouldn’t say if the incident was drug-related.Villa said Landagaray was transported to a hospital in Hermosillo, Sonora and he’s in critical condition. His bodyguard is stable. Right after the attack city officials asked for help from federal and state authorities and more agents were sent to patrol Rocky Point, said Villa.
“City is calm, yes we have more agents, but everything is normal,” he said.
Lazaro Hernandez Bravo has been appointed interim police chief.
Note: the take on border shootings from Mex media, but not a word
about similar events on south side of border. Interesting and
