A SMITTYPALOOZA
Myself and two friends are in Washington D.C. for the 9-12 Tea Party march. Yesterday was the first day of planned events Freedom Works sponsored a Liberty Summit with a famous list of speakers from Global Warming to the Constitution. The speakers that got my attention was my very own Congressman Shadegg, Arizona who gave a very comprehensive speech on health care go to http://rsc.price.house.gov/ and read the report there can be a solutions without nationalizing 17% of the nations economic output. Senator Enhoff, Oklahoma gave a overview of cap and trade and what started it all. After the summit we had a great lunch at Old Ebberts Grill then we walked yes walked the bagillion miles to Capital Hill to visit Congressman Shadegg's office to pick up a printed copy of the RSC committee report.
The day with the speakers was great however, the night was icing on the cake my new best married friend the infamous Robert Stacy McCain aka The Other McCain in the blog world and famous author arranged what he calls a Smittypalooza at the Army Navy Club.It didn't take us long to realize a smittypalooza was sitting around drinking telling low an tall stories about the famous and want to be's and boy was it fun. For three women { three little girls from Little Rock} "Nana" from Scottsdale,AZ, Susan from Michigan and Reggie from Idaho we were very impressed with the cast of well known blogger's as I think of them in no particular order Smitty, Trac-a-crat, Political Castaways,Pajama Media, Paco Enterprise,and-still-i-persist, Bruce Webster,Wombat Rampart, Matthew Vadum Capital Research and a few anonoymous contributors from the administration for a fair and balanced drinking story telling session. This group of blogger's are the most knowledgable, nicest patriotic Americans you get ever meet. We had a wonderful time talking with a group of intelligent good looking guys who carried on conversations about current events with a few jokes and jabs at each thrown in to keep them on their toes. Afterwards a few of us went out for a bite to eat and always a gentlemen as well as a scholar Wombat Rampart walked us back to our hotel as The Other McCain drove over to the hotel to help me with my computer. We three agreed to keep telling ourselves it was OK that McCain drove and we walked since he helped with the computer. If and when any of the Smittypalooza group happens to be in one of our neighborhoods call and we will have a Nanapalooza for them. 30
