OATH TO UPHOLD CONSTITUTION.......
Congress buring the Constitution
with every vote
Oath of office for President: Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution specifies the President's Oath of office."I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Oath of Office for Congressman and SenatorsFor Congressmen, Senators of the United States as set forth in the US Constitution
Article 6 - Debts, Supremacy, Oaths
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
The first oath that was enacted in 1789
had only 14 words "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States." Today's oath I ( name) do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God My observation is that the above oaths of office have not been taken seriously for several years {aprox. 60}  that elected politicians have not read the constitution or choose to blatantly ignore it and do as they please "We the People" will be ignored. editorial by: be
